OLD CENTRAL SCHOOL

AERIAL DRONE 360

Visit Grand Rapids had envisioned a 360 photograph from atop Old Central School, but we proposed that we shoot above the architectural centerpiece of the Northern Minnesota city using a drone 360. With this we were able to capture the view of Downtown Grand Rapids and it's two shopping districts that are separated by a historic railroad. The drone 360 also features the Blandin Paper Company mill, which is integral to the history and economy of Grand Rapids.

Expand the 360 full screen to view Downtown Grand Rapids and Old Central. Here's some history of the city's grand jewel:

"Historic Central School, located in downtown Grand Rapids, was built in 1895 in the Richardsonian Romanesque style of architecture. The three story building served as an elementary school from 1895 to 1972.  A community effort restored the building in 1984 after its listing on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977."
